Dave Lamoreaux – SRP Council

Dave B Lamoreaux was born and raised into a farming family in Gilbert, Arizona.  Learning to drive tractor at an early age was a necessity.   Dave was part of the family baling crew which raked and baled the hay. The love of farming was always in his blood.  Married  for 42 years, and has  six married children, along with 14 grandchildren.

He has always been an active member of the FFA, and was a chapter officer in High School. He has been a member of the Boy Scouts of America since the age of 12 years old to current age, where he received the rank of Eagle Scout.  He has served a two year mission for the LDS church in the Australia South Mission, in Tasmania, Victoria & New South Wales.  Dave also served in his church as a Bishop two separate times, along with being in the Stake Presidency and High Council.

Graduated from Gilbert High School. Received his AA degree from Mesa Community College , then on to Arizona State University for two years where he majored in Agriculture, Production & Management.  Shortly after marrying, moved to Blythe, CA and worked for Colorado River Feed Yard, and Mortonson Farms 2,500  acres where he used his life’s experiences both with cattle and equipment.

After moving from California, went on to become a partner in the family farm in 1979.  Ten years later bought out the other partner, and started his own family farming business.

Dave received his Real Estate license in 1985, and worked with Bogle RE Comp., and Dale Willis Properties RE Company.  He has also served as Maricopa County Farm Bureau Secretary, as well as the District Commissioner of the BSA.  He was elected to the Roosevelt Water Conservation District Water Board where he served for 11 years. Dave has been a member of the Chandler Ginning Company,a grower owned Gin,  Calcot Marketing Co-op, a board member for the United Consumer & Producer Co-op, along with the Southwest Consumers Co-op. He has been a Maricopa County Sherriff’s Posey member.

Dave has served on the Salt River Project Counci for six yearsl, and is currently serving there at this time.  He serves also on the board for the HumaGrow Bio-Huminetics, and was just appointed by Sonny Purdue Head of the US Dept. of Agriculture to serve on the USDA State

Farm Service Agency Committee Member. Dave and his brothers developed a Sand & Gravel operation in Florence, AZ., along with developing a commercial corner in Gilbert, AZ

He is also currently involved with  a group developing water and solar west of Phoenix.

Dave is a 4th Generation native Arizonian, following in  the footsteps of the first ancestor in 1846.  Raising quarter horses, Angus cattle and farming.  He has a love for Arizona, God, Country, Family, Farming & Ranching.
